This year we decided to forego the usual Christmas caroling around the neighborhood and take a trip to Kingston to see Grandma Irva and her famous Christmas lights. People come from miles around to see them. She and Bill and Joyce start right after the deerhunt to put up the lights for all of us to enjoy. She gives temple square quite a bit of competition in the Christmas light department. She is an amazing woman. She will be 91 on January 24th and she still drives to Mesquite by herself. I have never known to go to her house even if it is 4 o'clock in the morning but what she wouldn't get up and offer you something to eat. You never went away from her house hungry. We always felt warm and welcome at her home. She is a wonderful mother, grandmother, mother in law and friend to everyone. This home is where my husband, Dude, grew up. I feel his presence so strong whenever I go there. He was a wonderful husband and father. Thank you Grandma Irva for all you do and have done for us. Thank you for the wonderful Christmas light show. We love you.
